Shin Hye-sung’s 3-day concert marks complete sellout

Shin Hye-sung has seen a compete sellout for his concert set for late-June, according to the concert’s promoter J Story on Friday.

A press release by J Story said all tickets for Shin’s latest concert scheduled to take place at the Chungmu Art Hall in Seoul from June 24 to 26 were sold out the day the event organizers opened advance reservations yesterday.

The upcoming concert titled “SHIN HYE SUNG 2011 Tour in SEOUL - THE ROAD NOT TAKEN” is his first concert in six months that also takes place in time with the release of his fourth studio album, which is the first album he is releasing in over two years.

“We were expecting the concert to receive a lot of attention since it'll come with the release of his full-length album but not to the extent of a total sellout. We thank his fans for their love and interest once again,” an official at Shin’s agency Live Works Company was quoted as saying in the statement.

Born Jung Pil-kyo, Shin made his debut as one of the main vocalist for the popular boy band Shinhwa in 1998 and embarked on a solo singing career in May 2005, releasing several albums in Korea as well as expanding his career into Japan.
