Top Asian artists including Korea's Super Junior and Girls' Generation will perform at this year's Asia Song Festival (ASF).

A press release by the event's host Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) revealed an initial line-up on Wednesday, showing that Japan's Perfume, Taiwan's Peter Ho, Hong Kong's Leo Ku, China's Zhou Bichang and Thailand's Tata Young, will also be at the fest set for its eighth edition on October 15.

The ASF, also hosted jointly by UNICEF Korea and the Daegu Metropolitan City, will be held at Daegu Stadium this year.

"This year's Asia Song Festival is even more meaningful in that it'll be the official music event that will congratulate the successful hosting of the IAFF World Championships Daegu 2011," KOFICE's Chairman Kim Young-hoon was quoted as saying.

Perfume, a techno pop group, held a concert at Japan's prestigious Tokyo Dome last November to celebrate the tenth year of their music career.
