KBS' "Smile Again" No. 1 on weekly TV chart for 4th win

KBS’ drama “Smile Again” took the No. 1 spot on the weekly TV charts for the fourth consecutive week, revealing no changes in ranking amongst the top three from the previous week.

“Smile Again” brought in an average viewership rating of 33.7 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics (TNmS) and 33.9 percent according to AGB Nielsen Media Research’s findings (AGB), respectively.

Last week’s episode focused on how Dong-hae (Ji Chang-wook) helped out Kim Mal-seon (Jung Young-sook), the mistress of hotel Camellia, who collapsed due to a heart attack, while not knowing that she is his long-lost grandmother.

Dong-hae also decides to participate in the food competition for the prize money to help Bong-I’s family who fell into heavy debt.

KBS’ weekend series “My Love My Family,” which tells about family love and kinship, came in second place posting an average viewership rating of 23.4 percent on TNmS’ chart and 24.8 percent on AGB’s survey, respectively.

The episode showed how Yoon-hee (Hwangwoo Seul-hye) gets caught trying to read Woo-jin’s (Lee Pil-mo) diary and have her photos taken while being punished by Woo-jin. Meanwhile, Hye-jin (Park Joo-mi) discovers that her boss has been secretly admiring her from afar for the past few years.

Coming in at No.3 on TNmS’ chart was “KBS 9 o’clock News” bringing an average viewership rating of 19.8 percent, while AGB’s poll revealed that KBS’ variety show “Happy Sunday” came in third with ratings of 20 percent.

Other shows that scored well on both charts last week included SBS’ series “Sign,” KBS series “Dream High,” MBC’s “MBC Star Audition,” KBS’ “Gag Concert,” MBC series “Flames of Desire,” and MBC’s variety show “World Changing Quiz.”
