Far East Movement coming to Seoul in March
Far East Movement, the first Asian-American band to top the America's Billboard chart, will perform live in Seoul this coming March, according to the concert’s promoter VU Entertainment on Tuesday.
VU announced today that the electro-hip hop group, composed of members Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif and DJ Virman, is set to hold their first Korea concert at the Vista Hall of Seoul's Walkerhill Hotel on March 19.
The group based in Los Angeles has been recognized for mixing a wide range of genres including jazz, dance, rock and hip-hop while representing the members’ Asian heritage covering Korea (J-Splif and Prohgress), China, Japan, (Kev Nish) and the Philippines (DJ Virman).
Far East Movement released their first album “Folk Music” in 2005 and came to attention with their single “Round and Round” which became a soundtrack to Hollywood film “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” (2006) as well as that of video games.
Then in December of last year, the group released their first official debut album “Free Wired" participated by Snoop Dogg and OneRepublic, which saw one of its songs “Like a G6” top the U.S Billboard chart.
