"Bread" maintains No. 1 position for 10th week

No. 1 show in the country "Bread, Love and Dreams" [KBS]

KBS' series "Bread, Love and Dreams" maintained its position as the No. 1 show in the country last week, storming past other TV programs to take its tenth consecutive lead.

Figures by TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) and AGB Nielsen Media Research reported that the baking drama brought in viewership ratings of an average 47.1 percent and 44.5 percent, respectively, during the week of August 30 to September 5.

"Bread," about the success story of baker Kim Tak-koo, showed signs that it may soon breach the 50 percent mark on Wednesday and Thursday nights, scoring viewership ratings in the high 40 percent range.

MBC's historical epic "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown" re-entered the top tier in second place with ratings of 30.5 percent on TNmS' poll and 27.3 percent AGB's survey.

For third place however, TNmS said "Happy Sunday" took the spot with ratings of 27.3 percent, while AGB said family drama "All About Marriage" nabbed the slot with ratings of 24.8 percent.
