SM Entertainment to hold global audition

Korea's talent powerhouse SM Entertainment (SM) is planning to hold a global audition in U.S. and Canada, according to a press release on Tuesday.

"The 09’ SM Entertainment Global Audition In USA & Canada" will search for a talented candidate in singing, acting, modeling, dancing and songwriting. There is no age limit and all Asians may apply, SM explained in the statement.

The winners of the audition will be given a chance to sign a contract with SM and undergo an all expenses paid training opportunity to debut as a global artist. Previous winners who have turned into current K-pop stars include Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee and f(x).

The audition will kick off in Los Angeles on November 15 and continue onto Toronto and Vancouver a week later, and New York on November 27 and 28.
