Min Hyo-lyn cast as female lead in upcoming Park Jin-young film
Korean actress Min Hyo-lyn has been cast as the female lead in an upcoming film starring producer-singer Park Jin-young, according to her agency Starfox Entertainment.
On Tuesday, Starfox announced in a press release that Min will take on the role of Miri in the movie "The Five Million Dollar Man" (translated title) opposite Park which is scheduled to open in local theaters in March of next year.
"The Five Million Dollar Man," helmed by director Kim Ik-ro and set to crank in next month, tells the story of an aspiring singer (Park) who gets involved in a money-related incident and tries to resolve it with the help of Miri.
Park made his debut in music in 1994 and has since released a number of albums and singles. He has established his own talent agency under the name JYP Entertainment in 1997 and is responsible for discovering musical talents such as Rain, Wonder Girls, 2PM and 2AM.
Earlier this year, Park expanded his career into acting with a role in KBS' music drama "Dream High" alongside Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon, Kim Soo-hyun, 2PM's Taecyeon and miss A's Suzy.

Min Hyo-lyn, 25, entered the entertainment industry as a model for a clothing brand in 2006 and has since appeared in a number of films and dramas including the latest hit pic "Sunny" (2011), so far the 11th most-watched movie in Korean box office history.
