X-Japan to rock Korea for upcoming Asia tour
Popular Japanese rock band X-Japan will perform in Korea during the latter half of this year for their upcoming Asia tour.
Various Japanese media outlets including Sankei Sports reported on Tuesday that X-Japan will take to the stage in Korea as well as in China and Taiwan for their first Asia tour which will take place in October and November.
The group was originally scheduled to hold their concert in Korea in March but had postponed the show, Sankei said.
In the meantime, X-Japan kicked off their world tour last month in London which was a sold-out performance followed by their shows in Paris, the Netherlands and Berlin. The group will also visit Japan, Santiago, Brazil, Lima and Mexico City.
X-Japan, formed of current members Yoshiki (drums, piano), Toshi (vocals), Pata (guitar), Heath (bass) and Sugizo (guitar, violin), was formed in 1982 under the original name X by Yoshiki and Toshi.
They are known as one of the most successful rock bands in Japanese history with over five studio albums, six live albums, ten compilation albums and 15 video albums. They have also sold over 30 million records, singles and videos and have sold out seats at Japan's prestigious Tokyo Dome 18 times.

The band caused the rock phenomenon of 'visual kei,' a movement of worldwide Anime craze, as well as having produced a slew of hit songs such as "Endless Rain" and "Say Anything."
