FTIsland to kick off Asia tour in Korea this August

Korean rock band FTIsland will kick off their Asia tour starting with their solo concert in Korea this August, according to their agency FNC Music on Tuesday.

The boys will hold a series of shows in Seoul's AX-Korea hall on August 20 and 21 titled "PLAY FTISLAND" and then visit several countries in Asia for their tour, an official from FNC told 10Asia over the phone.

She went onto explain that the agency will soon announce the countries and dates of FTIsland's concert.

Composed of members Lee Hong-ki, Song Seung-hyun, Choi Min-han, Lee Jea-jin and Choi Jong-hoon, FTIsland released their first album "Cheerful Sensibility" in 2007. The boys have recently promoted title track "Hello Hello" from their mini-album "RETURN."

They expanded their music career into Japan in 2008 and recently had their first full-length album "FIVE TREASURE ISLAND" make its debut at No. 1 on Oricon's daily chart.

FTIsland is currently on their concert tour in Japan titled "2011 SUMMER TOUR~Messenger~" which began in Nagoya in late June. They have performed in Osaka and scheduled to take the stage in Tokyo, Fukuoka and Budokan.
