The world's biggest dance music festival "Global Gathering Korea" kicks off in Korea today.


"Global Gathering", an annual dance music festival that started in 2001, has been held in over 10 countries, including England, Australia and Russia. This is the first time it is hosted in Korea.

The event will take place at Seoul's Han River Park, from Friday 5 p.m. until Sunday 5 a.m., featuring performances by musicians all over the world.


The festival will be headlined by two prominent English electronic music groups; Prodigy, set to perform live on Friday from midnight to 1:30 a.m. and Underworld on Saturday from 12:30 to 2 a.m.

Also scheduled to perform on Friday are Penudulum and The Potbelleez from Australia and Crystal Method from the U.S. On Saturday, Royksopp from Norway will go onstage and Japan's Fantastic Plastic Machine will also perform with Verbal of hip-hop duo M-Flo.


K-pop artists G-Dragon and 2NE1 are scheduled to perform on Saturday at 8 p.m.
