MBC's recent hit dramas "The Greatest Love" and "The Moon Embracing the Sun" will be published in comic books starting this month.
Comic book publisher Tooni Plus told 10Asia on Tuesday that the first two books of "The Greatest Love" will go on sale this Friday and the third book will be published later next month.
"The Greatest Love," starring Cha Seung-won and Kong Hyo-jin, has been receiving good reviews from abroad, even being announced as the finalist of the silver award at the upcoming eighth annual New York Television Festival's International TV & Films Award this month.
Meanwhile, "The Moon Embracing the Sun," which aired on the same channel from January 4 to March 15, is still in the process of being produced in comic strips.
"The Moon" has been the most popular TV series in the country this year and saw its highest viewership rating reach up to 42.2 percent.
Actors Kim Soo-hyun and Jung Il-woo and actress Han Ga-in gained more popularity through the series and the drama's soundtracks also had fared well on local music charts during its run.
The publicist from the firm said that the firm expects to boost Korean comic books' sales abroad with the two drama-based comic books.
