Korean film "Showdown" sold to France and Thailand
Korean movie "Showdown" has been sold to France and Thailand at the film market during a film fest in Berlin, according to the film's promoter Dorothy on Monday.
Dorothy announced in a press release that "Showdown," which opened in local theaters on February 24, sold its distribution rights to France and Thailand during the film market at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival in early February.
The action flick was also presold to China, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg after the two-minute promotional video was shown at the film market during the Cannes Film Festival last year.
"Showdown," which stars actors Park Hee-soon, Ko Chang-seok and Jin-goo, tells the story of three Korean soldiers who managed to survive the battle between Korea and China in the middle of the winter forest.
