Kia Showcases EV Concept Cars at 'Milan Design Week'
Showcasing the Vision of the 'Opposites United' Design Philosophy
Kia announced that it is participating for the fourth consecutive year in the world-renowned design and furniture fair, the '2026 Milan Design Week,' which is being held for seven days starting April 20 (local time). The company aims to showcase the creative vision and design direction of its design philosophy, 'Opposites United.'
This year, under the theme 'Resonance of Contrasting Concepts,' Kia held an exhibition of artworks that embody 'inner reflection' in Kia design, as well as an exhibition of electric vehicle (EV) concept cars that express 'projection to the outside.'
The artwork exhibition, 'Journey of Reflection,' held at Milan's Museo della Permanente, presented visitors with new inspiration through three artwork spaces in which Kia designers directly participated.
The EV concept car exhibition, 'Journey of Projection,' was held at the multi-cultural space Salone dei Tessuti. The lineup featured a total of six EV concept cars revealed on a global stage for the first time: Vision Metautosmo, along with the initial development concept models of EV2, EV3, EV4, EV5, and EV9.
First unveiled at Kia's 80th anniversary event late last year, Vision Metautosmo is a model that presents Kia's vision for future mobility through its geometric form and sophisticated silhouette.
Kia also hosted a forum and performance themed on the design philosophy 'Opposites United' to further engage with key global visitors.
