He added, "I was joined by Seoul's National Assembly members and local party leaders today, and we shared this commitment together."
He further explained, "The four candidates I competed against in the primary all have experience in both government affairs and the National Assembly," adding, "Because they have many strengths in areas where I need to improve, I have invited them to serve as standing co-chairs of the campaign committee."
After paying respects at the memorial tower, Jeong left a message in the guestbook: "We will carry forward the noble intentions of the patriotic forebears and build a Seoul where citizens are the true owners." On this day, Representatives Lee Inyoung and Seo Youngkyo, who are serving as standing co-chairs of Jeong’s campaign committee, as well as Park Jumin, Jun Hyunhee, Kim Youngbae, and Kim Hyungnam—who were primary rivals—joined the visit.
