As news spreads that Neugoo’s health is quickly stabilizing, online interest has gone beyond simple updates, with requests now pouring in for videos showing his meals and daily life in addition to status notifications.

Neugoo was captured after being tranquilized at 12:15 a.m. on the 17th. Concerns were raised about his health as the search dragged on, but he is reportedly recovering without major issues so far. O-World is consistently sharing updates on Neugoo’s condition through its official website and social media channels. According to O-World, Neugoo ate 650g of beef and fresh chicken on the 18th. It is known that, while he mainly ate chicken before, beef was provided as a special treat on this day.

On the 19th, he ate 980g of ground beef and fresh chicken mince, an increase of 330g from the previous day. O-World stated, "We will continue to provide updates on Neugoo's healthy eating and overall health condition," adding, "He is gradually showing a more stable condition." As this news spread, online users expressed relief with comments such as "I'm glad he seems to be doing well," "I never thought I'd be so happy to hear he finished his meal," and "Now I feel relieved." Especially, there is growing demand for not just text-based updates, but actual videos showing Neugoo recovering in real time.

On secondhand trading platforms, posts are appearing selling "signatures" modeled after Neugoo’s paw prints, and on social media and local community sites, parody photos, composite images, and AI-generated images featuring Neugoo are spreading quickly. Some users have even created fake advertisements claiming that a famous confectionery brand will sell limited edition Neugoo face bread. Neugoo’s popularity has been further amplified by the success of Daejeon’s local sports teams. Right after Neugoo’s return, both the Hanwha Eagles professional baseball team and the Daejeon Hana Citizen K League 1 professional soccer team reported victories, leading to comments online like, "As soon as Neugoo came back, Daejeon’s teams started winning," and "Neugoo is Daejeon’s good luck charm." The interest in Neugoo goes beyond simple curiosity. Some have commented that Neugoo has inherited the popularity of Fubao, the giant panda who returned to China. Online users have also voiced opinions such as, "Escaping was dangerous, but I’m glad he returned safely," "Now that public interest is so high, I hope animal welfare and living conditions will also be discussed," and "If Neugoo’s recovery is transparently made public, it will enhance public trust." Currently, Neugoo is recovering in an isolated area within O-World. Although he reportedly lost about 3kg during the escape, his food intake has been steadily increasing since his capture and he has no major digestive issues. O-World explained that under the care of keepers and veterinarians, Neugoo is eating and resting well. Naturally, interest is now shifting toward the timing of O-World’s reopening.

O-World has suspended operations since the escape on the 9th and is currently undergoing safety inspections, facility repairs, and operational restructuring. However, the reopening date has not yet been determined. O-World stated, "Neugoo’s health recovery is our top priority," and added, "We will decide whether to resume operations only after fully completing safety inspections and facility repairs."
