This comes just four days after Koh Kwangheon, the committee’s inaugural chairman, pledged in his inauguration speech on April 16 to promptly rectify unfair personnel practices.
The BMCDC explained that these normalization measures are intended to resolve demoralization and promotion bottlenecks within the organization by addressing personnel actions for general staff that had been unfairly delayed. The committee also conveyed its appreciation and encouragement to those members who maintained their commitment to the organization, even amid the abnormal operations of its predecessor, the Korea Communications Standards Commission.
The appointments at the division and department director level are designed to restore the committee’s professionalism and sense of responsibility, and to establish a firm foundation for organizational management. The BMCDC stated its plan to reorganize the committee by appointing individuals with expertise in their respective fields, strong organizational management abilities, and a commitment to public responsibility to key positions.
Chairman Koh stated, “Restoring the committee begins with fair personnel practices,” adding, “I will ensure that employees who have been hurt or marginalized by unfair appointments can once again take pride in their work.”
