LIG D&A Signs MOU with Intellectus for Unmanned Systems Technology Development
Pushing for Localization of Defense Middleware and Strengthening the K-Defense Ecosystem
LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A) has partnered with Intellectus, a company specializing in middleware solutions, to develop core technologies for weapon systems based on physical AI (artificial intelligence).

View original imageLIG D&A announced on the 17th that it recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Intellectus for the development of unmanned systems and related architectures.
Middleware is software that connects different programs. This agreement is significant in that it can contribute to strengthening domestic technological capabilities in the field of defense communication middleware (DDS), which is becoming standardized in the trend toward unmanned development in the defense industry.
Through this agreement, LIG D&A plans to oversee the overall design and integration of weapon systems based on physical AI. Intellectus will supply core engine technology optimized for defense weapon system environments, based on its proprietary core engine, 'int2DDS.'
