Middleware is software that connects different programs. This agreement is significant in that it can contribute to strengthening domestic technological capabilities in the field of defense communication middleware (DDS), which is becoming standardized in the trend toward unmanned development in the defense industry.
Through this agreement, LIG D&A plans to oversee the overall design and integration of weapon systems based on physical AI. Intellectus will supply core engine technology optimized for defense weapon system environments, based on its proprietary core engine, 'int2DDS.'
Seungyoung Lee, CTO of LIG D&A, said, "We will continue to create opportunities for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises to fully demonstrate their capabilities and to build a mutually beneficial growth model together. Through cooperation with outstanding domestic tech companies, we will elevate the status of 'K-Defense' as a leader in the global unmanned systems market, going beyond Korea."
