Over 30 Years of Powertrain and New Vehicle Development
Renault Korea announced on April 16 that it has appointed Seokwon Lim as the new Director of the Renault Technology Korea (Renault Korea Central Research Center), who will serve as Head of R&D.
Director Lim began his career in 1993, joining Samsung Aerospace through the Samsung Group's open recruitment, where he started work in engine design. For more than 30 years, he has worked on various automotive powertrain and new vehicle development projects at both Samsung Motors and Renault Korea.
In particular, since 2022, he has made significant contributions as Chief Vehicle Engineer (CVE) leading the "Aurora Project," playing a key role in the successful launches of the Grand Koleos and the Filante.
He is regarded as the right person to lead the development of new electrified models and the reduction of development periods in the future, based on his diverse new vehicle development know-how and extensive experience in technical collaboration with various global partners.
