Bridgestone Golf Chooses Full Titanium for Korean Golfers
Launch of Korean-Edition BX1 and BX2 Drivers
Outstanding Durability and Slipless Bite Milling Technology
Fully Developed Models Excelling in Both Distance and Accuracy
Both distance and accuracy have been achieved. Bridgestone Golf has released its new BX1 and BX2 drivers. These are fully developed models designed to satisfy Korean golfers.
The drivers are popular among players on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour. Team Bridgestone members, including Park Hyunkyung and Park Jiyeong, as well as Shin Dain and Ahn Sunju, have all switched to the BX1 driver. The Team Bridgestone athletes commented, "We changed drivers because of the excellent straightness and feel at impact. Expectations for the new product are high."
This product has been specifically developed for Korean golfers. Unlike the global BX1 and BX2 models, which use carbon materials, the Korean version features a full titanium construction. While full titanium increases production costs, it offers superior durability. This not only ensures golfer safety but also directly affects the time customers may need to invest in after-sales service. In terms of performance, it can be used for a long time without any decline in quality. It also provides the crisp feel and sound at impact that Korean golfers prefer.
The face of the club incorporates Bridgestone Golf's advanced tire safety technology. The "Slipless Bite Milling" technique, which maximizes spin control at the moment when the club and ball meet, has been applied. This technology uses precise laser milling to create dense grooves according to the impact point, enhancing the friction of the ball. As a result, it maintains low spin and achieves high ball speeds, delivering outstanding distance performance.
The off-center areas of the face feature a tread pattern that generates even stronger friction than the central part, helping to compensate for mishits and reduce distance loss. Even on rainy days or when the ball is wet, it provides a secure grip, minimizing slippage of the ball in damp conditions.
