Space Cheong visits Korean Air to discuss cooperation on UAM and eco-friendly aircraft development
Following the July Business Meeting, Direct On-Site Visit
The Korea Aerospace Agency announced on the 11th that it visited Korean Air Busan Tech Center to discuss ways to advance the aviation industry.

View original imageAt the meeting, Kim Hyun-dae, the recently appointed head of the Aviation Innovation Division at the Korea Aerospace Agency, attended and exchanged opinions to listen to proposals from key personnel responsible for aviation-related developments at Korean Air and to derive cooperation plans.
He emphasized the government's active support and the need for regulatory improvements to advance Korean Air's aviation industry. In particular, he presented the view that future growth engines for the aviation industry should be secured and global competitiveness strengthened through urban air mobility (UAM) technology, next-generation aircraft parts development, and eco-friendly aircraft development.

Division Head Kim stated, “We will continue efforts to listen to voices from the field through close cooperation with companies and reflect them in the positioning strategy of the Aviation Innovation Division,” adding, “Based on this discussion, we will promote advanced aircraft development, localization of aircraft parts, and composite material development discussions to elevate the competitiveness of the domestic aviation industry to a global level.”
