Hyundai Motor to Hire Three-Digit Number of Experienced R&D Professionals in First Half of Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Hyundai Motor Company will accelerate its transition to an SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) system by significantly increasing its research and development (R&D) workforce in the first half of this year.
Hyundai announced on the 19th that it will begin recruiting a three-digit number of experienced R&D professionals over two weeks, from the 20th of this month to the 5th of next month. Applications can be submitted through the R&D headquarters recruitment website, and the recruitment covers all R&D sectors.
This experienced recruitment aims to secure driving forces for future new business initiatives while preemptively acquiring outstanding R&D talent to lead the major transformation toward the SDV system.
The recruitment fields include all areas of the R&D headquarters such as ▲ Vehicle Development ▲ Control & Connected ▲ Vehicle Architecture ▲ Battery and Hydrogen. The recruitment process will proceed in the order of document screening (March), job interviews (April), and comprehensive interviews (May). Final successful candidates are expected to join in July. Detailed schedules can be confirmed through the recruitment announcements for each sector.
The AI-based preliminary interview, introduced for the first time last year, will also be conducted as before. This method enhances evaluation objectivity by analyzing applicants’ facial expressions, behaviors, and voice through AI during the question and answer process.
Separately from this recruitment schedule, Hyundai is continuously recruiting experienced software developers in areas such as ▲ Infotainment ▲ Autonomous Driving ▲ Robotics ▲ Electronics through monthly open recruitment. A Hyundai Motor Company official stated, "Our goal is to lead the rapidly evolving mobility market with the best domestic and international R&D talent," adding, "We are committed to creating a work environment where R&D experts can continuously grow and develop."
Meanwhile, for new university graduate recruitment, Hyundai conducts batch recruitment on the first day of every odd-numbered month through the Hyundai recruitment website to enhance applicant convenience. The recruitment schedule for March will proceed accordingly.
