Founded in 1988, Asia Business Daily has undergone a significant structural overhaul since the mid-2000s, marked by bold digital innovation. This transformation has propelled us to the forefront of Korean economic media, distinguishing us for both the speed and depth of our content. The milestone of 5 million regular digital readers and 130 million annual channel visitors represents the culmination of nearly 20 years of digital innovation. Expanding content distribution methods with initiatives like Audio Paper and dedicated radio, along with widening content horizons through active engagement with overseas media, are also integral components of this innovation.
The Asia Business Daily is unreserved in its commitment to innovating governance and management. In July 2023, 5% of the total shares were contributed to our employee-owned cooperative. This groundbreaking move, the first of its kind among Korean media outlets, served as a tangible manifestation of our commitment. The decision was made based on our belief that fostering a sense of ownership and pride among the company’s members is the most reliable catalyst for innovation and provides a sturdy foundation for journalism as an economic media outlet.
In July 2015, The Asia Business Daily made history by becoming the first Korean economic media outlet to be listed on the stock market (KOSDAQ), introducing a pioneering model for media companies. The aspiration to become an "economic content platform for investors" provided the backdrop, driving us to break away from traditional practices and the closed management of media outlets, ultimately establishing ourselves as a prominent player in the capital market. We are confident that these facts will further solidify trust in the Asia Business Daily among both Korean and international investors.
