"Receive High Oil Price Compensation Funds with Iksan's 'Dairooum'"
Existing Users Can Apply Directly Through the App Without Additional Verification
On April 23, the city of Iksan in North Jeolla Province encouraged residents to actively utilize the regional gift certificate “Dairooum” to receive high oil price compensation funds, emphasizing that doing so would allow them to enjoy a wider range of benefits.
According to the city, users who have already registered with the Dairooum app can apply for the compensation funds directly within the app without any additional authentication process. The requested funds will be automatically credited the following day, and recipients can also check payment details through the advance notification service provided by the National Secretary. Another advantage is that the compensation funds can be combined with existing Dairooum balances when making payments, allowing users to efficiently use even small remaining amounts.
At 84 “policy support affiliate stores,” such as Youth Mall, Good Price Stores, local bookstores, and Chicken Road, users can receive an additional 10% cashback on purchases made with Dairooum, up to a maximum of 20,000 won per month per business. The compensation funds can also be used at these affiliate stores, thereby increasing the actual benefits for users.
Even without a physical card, users can conveniently make payments by scanning the QR code provided at affiliate stores. When using QR payment, the merchant fee is fully waived, which also helps reduce the burden on small business owners.
Affiliate stores that accept compensation funds will have a special sticker displayed for easy identification. Store owners can obtain these stickers by visiting their local township, town, or neighborhood administrative welfare center. Both the first and second rounds of funds must be used by August 31, and the city is advising residents to apply and use the funds as soon as possible. However, users who have changed their priority voucher settings in the Dairooum app should check in advance that the 'Deduct vouchers with the shortest validity period first' option is selected under 'Full menu → Voucher → Priority voucher settings.'

Heo Heon-yul, Mayor of Iksan, stated, “This compensation fund is a policy for citizens and vulnerable groups facing difficulties due to high oil prices, high exchange rates, and high inflation,” adding, “I hope you will apply through Dairooum and take advantage of the many benefits available.”
