"Why Is My Chanel Wallet on Danggeun?"...High School Students Steal Luxury Goods Worth 70 Million Won from Friend's House
Total Value Estimated at 70 Million Won Including Four Chanel Bags
Victim Says, "There May Be a Possibility of Planned Crime"
The police have launched an investigation after receiving a report that high school students who visited a friend's house stole luxury goods worth tens of millions of won.
According to Yonhap News on April 22, it was reported that Student A (17) and Student B (17) visited a home in Haeundae District, Busan, on April 7 and stole luxury goods before fleeing. In particular, Student B is suspected of having returned to the same house on April 20 and stealing additional luxury items worth tens of millions of won before fleeing again.

After discovering that the luxury items in his home were missing, Mr. C checked the elevator's closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and saw Student B, who had visited the house, leaving with boxes and other items. The missing goods include four Chanel bags as well as wallets, apparel, and jewelry, with a total value amounting to around 70 million won.
Mr. C said that immediately after the incident occurred on April 7, he identified Student A as a suspect and reported it to the police. However, due to the slow progress of the investigation, some of the luxury goods had already been sold on secondhand trading platforms. Mr. C stated, "It seems likely that this was not simply theft, but a premeditated crime committed to obtain money," and added, "As the police investigation was slow, I personally checked Danggeun and found that some of the luxury goods had already been sold off quickly at low prices."

An official from the Haeundae Police Station stated, "Student A is already being held in a detention facility for another crime," and added, "We are continuing the investigation as Student B's whereabouts are still unknown."
