Iran State Broadcaster: "No Iranian Negotiation Delegation Has Departed for Pakistan"
Iran's state-run broadcaster IRIB reported on April 21 (local time) that "so far, no negotiation delegation has departed for Islamabad, Pakistan, where the venue for the second round of talks with the United States has been arranged."
The outlet added, "Since Saturday (the 18th), there have been numerous reports that the Iranian negotiation team had either left for or arrived in Pakistan. Some foreign media even specified the timing of the talks as the afternoon of the 20th or the morning of the 21st," emphasizing, "None of these reports are true."
IRIB's reports are generally regarded as representing the official position of the Iranian government. The president of IRIB is appointed by the Supreme Leader under the constitution.

Since the previous day, IRIB and other Iranian media have avoided making definitive statements about Iran's participation in the second round of talks, instead reporting that "no decision has been made yet" or "the delegation has not departed yet," leaving room for interpretation.
