For the telecommunications business, he presented a two-track strategy: nurturing planning and development capabilities for mid- to long-term projects such as an integrated IT system optimized for AI, and strengthening current digital competitiveness.
Jung urged a full-fledged push into the B2B market, emphasizing SK Telecom’s unique position as the only domestic 'full-stack' provider covering all aspects of AI infrastructure, models, and services, as well as the enterprise experience the company has accumulated to date, amid a surge in corporate demand for AI.
To this end, the company plans to establish an Enterprise Task Force (TF) that consolidates all of its B2B capabilities as a unit directly under the CEO, with the goal of strengthening competitiveness in both wired and wireless B2B and securing new business opportunities in public and defense AI B2B sectors. The head of the TF will be Myungjin Han, who also serves as head of the Mobile Communication CIC (Company-in-Company).
In the AI data center (DC) business, SK Group’s affiliates and global partners will join forces to pursue bold and overwhelming expansion in scale. To accelerate the AI DC business and enhance execution, the company will establish specialized teams under the AI CIC, such as the AI DC Business Division (headed by Seokkeun Jung, also Head of AI CIC) and the AI DC Development Division (led by Minyong Ha).
Jung also announced a direction for revamping the corporate culture. SK Telecom will introduce a 'Growth Level' system, segmenting the current two-tier organization (A and B bands) into three levels: GL1 (growth-phase practitioners), GL2 (core contributors), and GL3 (leaders and leader candidates), enabling members to grow systematically. In addition, a 'Job Expert Track' will be established so that even non-managers with job expertise are recognized, aiming to foster a corporate culture that values professionals.
