The AI influencer communication platform 'ReverseTok' is making waves, simultaneously securing the top spot on both the Apple iOS App Store and Google Play Store at launch.
ReverseTok, operated by Highmaru Company (CEO Jaeil Seo), has become the first AI influencer-based service to claim the number one position on both of Korea's major app markets. This unprecedented achievement in the AI industry means it has outperformed established giants in gaming, social networking, and video platforms.
ReverseTok's core competitive edge lies in its 'AI Digital Twin' technology, which goes far beyond a simple chatbot. By perfectly mirroring an influencer's voice, personality, and speech patterns, it enables authentic emotional interactions akin to those with real people. This has established a new global standard in the AI technology platform market by introducing an asynchronous communication model that overcomes the physical limitations of influencer labor.
Launched as a beta service in December last year, ReverseTok has continuously updated its features by incorporating feedback from both users and influencers. Beauty influencer 'Ella' is focusing on connecting with Japanese fans.
Other notable figures include broadcaster 'L.L,' who ranked No.1 in TikTok Live Fast last year; 'Chaejeong,' a top influencer in body management; and mega influencer 'Noah,' all of whom are actively engaging with fans. 'Yuning' and 'Seoha,' both former Miss Korea and Miss World contestants, are producing content that promotes Korean beauty to international users. 'Sim Cheongyi,' known for modern interpretations of Korean traditional folktales, is also communicating with fans. Comedians such as 'Choi Won' and 'JennyJenny', who made headlines as the 'sexy real estate agent' and even obtained a real estate license using AI, as well as actress 'Go Yunseo,' who is featured in OTT productions, are also connecting with their fan base.
ReverseTok has developed a multi-layered communication system called Beyond AI that deepens the relationship between fans and influencers, moving beyond simple AI chat. The 'Mission Board' allows influencers to set challenges and reward fans with personalized content such as video messages, songs, or dances upon successful completion. The 'AI Video Call' feature enables real-time, one-on-one video calls with an AI recreation of the influencer's appearance and voice. Completing the 'gauge system,' which accumulates points during AI chats, grants users a premium pass to have a three-minute call with the actual influencer.
Highmaru Company aims to secure 100,000 'Re-Talkers' in Korea this year before expanding services across Korea, China, Japan, and the United States to reach a global membership of 1 million. In May, ReverseTok plans to pioneer a new genre in the commerce market by launching a hybrid broadcast commerce channel that combines real humans and AI. This 24/7 uninterrupted commerce channel will kickstart their overseas marketing strategy. The collaboration between live shopping hosts and digital twin AIs is expected to bring yet another transformation to the technology platform market.
