Hezbollah Warns: "Immediate Retaliation if Israel Violates Ceasefire"
10-Day Ceasefire Brokered by Trump
Israeli Troop Presence Raises Risk of Renewed Clashes
On April 17, the first day of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group, warned that it would immediately return to fighting if Israel violated the agreement.
In a statement released that day, Hezbollah said, "We are closely monitoring the enemy's deceptions and have our fingers on the trigger, ready to respond at any time."
This ceasefire is a short-term 10-day agreement brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump. Israel has not withdrawn its ground forces deployed in southern Lebanon during the ceasefire period.
