The committee is responsible for ensuring the independence of broadcasting, freedom of expression, public interest, and public value, as well as protecting the rights and interests of users in the telecommunications service market.
The new official character will be used for digital communication on the committee's social media channels, including in videos and card news. In addition, it will be produced as planned merchandise and digital goods, such as keychains and electronic device wallpapers, and will also be used for collaborations with characters from other institutions.
A total of 146 entries were submitted to the committee's contest, which began last month. In addition to Media Guardians, "Sintongi and Bangtongi" by Wonah Cho was awarded the Excellence Prize, and "Komi and CommU" by Sunghoon Yoo received the Encouragement Prize.
