The National Health Insurance Service announced on the 17th that, effective April 20, Jaeuk Jung, Head of the Osong Bio-Science Complex Support Center at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, has been appointed as the new Executive Director of General Affairs.

Jung began his public service career in 1994 and has worked for approximately 32 years at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, serving as Director of Insurance Evaluation, Audit Officer, Director of Operations Support, and Director of Korean Medicine Industry, among other roles. According to the National Health Insurance Service, he possesses extensive knowledge and experience in the health insurance system, having contributed to the enactment and amendment of the National Health Insurance Act, the introduction of the Long-Term Care Insurance for the Elderly, and measures to stabilize health insurance finances.
