Naver Updates Personal Information Consent and Notice Question Types in Naver Form
On April 17, Naver announced that it has revised the types of personal information-related questions in its online survey service, Naver Form, in order to clarify the notifications and consent procedures required under the Personal Information Protection Act.

In the "Consent to Collection and Provision of Personal Information" question type, "I do not consent" is provided as a default selectable answer, and survey creators can add or delete items as needed. A branching feature is also supported, allowing respondents to be directed to different pages based on their answers. For example, if a respondent does not consent, the survey can be terminated or redirected to a separate information page, enabling a more sophisticated consent process. According to the update on April 8, these changes apply only to newly added questions after that date and do not apply retroactively to questions in surveys that were already in progress.
The newly added "Personal Information Collection and Delegation Notice" question type can be used when only notification is required, without obtaining respondents' consent, to inform them about the collection or delegated processing of personal information. Survey creators can use two subtypes—"Notice on Collection and Use of Personal Information" and "Notice on Delegation of Personal Information Processing"—to display notification items separately from consent questions, as needed.
