The Nomination Committee of the People Power Party’s Gyeongnam Provincial Chapter for the 9th Nationwide Local Elections announced on April 15 the final list of nominees for county heads of Namhae, Haman, and Sancheong, as well as candidates for nine metropolitan council constituencies.
As a result of the primary, Ryoo Seongsik, head of Saenamhae Agricultural Cooperative, was nominated as the candidate for Namhae County head; Jo Youngje, a member of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council, was selected as the candidate for Haman County head; and Yoo Myunghyun, former head of the Balanced Development Headquarters of Gyeongnam Province, was nominated as the candidate for Sancheong County head.

The final nominees for metropolitan council constituencies are as follows: Kim Kyuhun, Chair of Sacheon City Council, for Sacheon 1; Choi Gapheon, former Chair of Sacheon City Council, for Sacheon 2; Min Gyunggu, former Head of the Saemaeul Association in Miryang, for Miryang 2; Park Jooeon, Chair of the Cultural Welfare Committee of the Provincial Council, for Geochang 1; Gong Jaegwon, former Senior Superintendent of the National Police Agency, for Geochang 2; Shin Jongcheol, member of the Provincial Council, for Sancheong; Kwon Daekeun, member of Hamyang County Council, for Hamyang; Lee Pilho, former Hapcheon County official, for Hapcheon; and Kim Guyoun, member of the Provincial Council, for Hadong.
