In the Hyeongyeong District, Kim checked the progress of river maintenance projects such as levee construction and bank reinforcement, as well as potential flood risks. At Bokryongje Reservoir, he focused on structural safety, inspecting for levee subsidence, cracks, and possible water leakage. In the Jisan District, he assessed landslide risk factors such as slope collapse, falling rocks, and soil erosion, while reviewing preemptive response measures.
Acting Governor Kim stated, "The frequency and severity of natural disasters are increasing due to climate change," and added, "We will strengthen the management of vulnerable areas through inspections and preparedness to prevent any casualties."
