The cool roof project is an initiative to improve residential environments by applying heat-reflective paint with solar-reflective properties to rooftops or roofs of buildings, thereby reducing heat accumulation and lowering indoor temperatures. It helps improve the summer living conditions of neighbors vulnerable to heatwaves and prevents heat-related illnesses, and also contributes to mitigating the urban heat island effect.
Muhak has been continuing this project in partnership with the Busan Volunteer Center since 2014. This year marks the 13th year.
