At the site, more than 200 participants, including executives and employees from local companies and organizations such as Muhak, Air Busan, Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation, Haeam Cultural Foundation, Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation, National Pension Service Busan Regional Headquarters, BEXCO, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Jin Air, Air Seoul, Jokwang Paint, as well as university student volunteer groups, took part.

The cool roof project is an initiative to improve residential environments by applying heat-reflective paint with solar-reflective properties to rooftops or roofs of buildings, thereby reducing heat accumulation and lowering indoor temperatures. It helps improve the summer living conditions of neighbors vulnerable to heatwaves and prevents heat-related illnesses, and also contributes to mitigating the urban heat island effect.

Muhak has been continuing this project in partnership with the Busan Volunteer Center since 2014. This year marks the 13th year.

Hong Soonhwan, Executive Director of the Sales Division at Muhak, said, "We hope this project will help improve the housing environment for energy-vulnerable groups," adding, "As a local company, we will continue to engage in sharing activities that create tangible change."
