NHN, Waflat, and iClo Sign Business Agreement for AI Smart Home Care System
NHN announced on April 14, 2026, that it has signed a business agreement for the development of an 'AI Smart Home Care' system with its senior care subsidiary NHN Waflat and the AI-powered oral healthcare company iClo.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare is promoting the 'AX-Sprint' project to realize 'healthy aging in place' through AI technology. In line with the ministry's AI smart home care policy, NHN is expanding collaboration with companies that possess specialized capabilities in this field.
Under this agreement, NHN will provide an AI infrastructure environment capable of processing large-scale health data, while NHN Waflat, the senior care subsidiary, will be responsible for building and operating the actual service based on the 'Waflat AI Life Support Platform.' iClo will provide oral health monitoring and AI analysis data.
Sunyoung Hwang, Director of Legal and Policy Group at NHN and CEO of NHN Waflat, said, "Through this agreement, we can now bring oral health—which was previously a blind spot in care—into the realm of daily management and support integrated care. We will pool the core competencies of each company to build an AI smart home ecosystem and strive to create a care model that aligns with the policy direction of the Ministry of Health and Welfare."
