View original imageDuring the 'ICGN Korea Conference 2026' held at the Korea Exchange Conference Hall in Yeouido, Seoul on this day, Chairman Jung said, "The competitiveness of the capital market is based on trust among market participants," adding, "I believe that the starting point for such trust lies in sound and transparent corporate governance."
Chairman Jung also commented, "Starting this year, mandatory disclosure of governance structure will be expanded to include KOSPI-listed companies," and added, "With companies stepping up efforts to improve their governance, we expect to see even greater efforts to enhance shareholder value."
Oh Ki-hyung, Chairman of the Special Committee on K-Capital Market and a member of the Democratic Party, said, "Apart from the Middle East variable, the fundamental basics of Korea's capital market have not changed," and emphasized, "Guaranteeing the proportional interests of shareholders is essential, and that trust must not be undermined under any circumstances."
Park Minwoo, Standing Commissioner of the Securities and Futures Commission at the Financial Services Commission, stated, "Going forward, companies will be required to disclose executive compensation in comparison to corporate performance," and added, "From this year, a third-party institution will examine whether stewardship code participants are faithfully fulfilling their fiduciary responsibilities, and the results of this review will be disclosed."

In particular, in-depth discussions were held on four main topics: 'Corporate Governance in Korea,' 'Stewardship Code,' 'Global Trends in Corporate Governance,' and 'Detailed Discussions on Corporate Governance.'
