Gyeongnam Junior College Hotel Bakery and Pastry Department Hosts Italian Pastry Chef for Technology Seminar
Gyeongnam Junior College (President Kim Taesang) announced on March 19 that the Department of Hotel Bakery and Pastry invited Italian pastry chef David Rosso to hold an Italian bread technology seminar.
This seminar was conducted as part of an industry-academia cooperation program with Bakeplus. Chef David Rosso is currently serving as the executive chef at CSM Ingredients, a global food ingredients group.
The Department of Hotel Bakery and Confectionery at Gyeongnam Information University is hosting an Italian bread technology seminar by inviting David Rosso, a pastry chef from Italy.
View original imageThe event was attended by students from the Department of Hotel Bakery and Pastry as well as pastry chefs working at hotels and bakeries in the Busan area. Chef Rosso demonstrated iconic Italian baked goods such as focaccia genovese, lingue, and croccantella, introducing advanced baking techniques.
The college plans to incorporate global bakery and pastry trends into its curriculum and strengthen practice-oriented education as a result of this seminar. It also aims to expand on-site education through continued collaboration with Bakeplus.
Gyeongnam Junior College has been operating global education programs, including last year's seminar featuring a French master baker.

Department head Choi Jeongsu said, "This was a valuable opportunity for students to directly experience international bakery and pastry techniques and culture," adding, "We will expand education in connection with global experts."
