According to industry sources on the 18th, starting from June 1st, international air tickets will be subject to

fuel surcharge level 27.

This is 6 levels lower than the level 33 surcharge applied in May.

This drop is due to the average price of Singapore jet fuel (MOPS), which serves as the basis for fuel surcharges,

falling to 410.02 cents per gallon (from April 16 to May 15), compared to the previous period.

From March 16 to April 15, the price was 511.21 cents per gallon.

At one point, optimism over negotiations between the United States and Iran

and the temporary reopening of the Strait of Hormuz

caused international oil prices to fall briefly, which appears to have contributed to this change.

Fuel surcharges are additional amounts airlines charge to compensate for losses due to rising oil prices,

and are set monthly by each airline through internal adjustments,

in accordance with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's distance-based system.
