Kumho Tire Wins Excellence Award in Water Resource Management at "2025 CDP Korea Awards"

Kumho Tire is strengthening the transparency of its ESG management by being recognized for its water resource management capabilities by a global environmental assessment organization. This achievement comes as the company’s systematic resource management system in response to the climate crisis received positive international evaluations.

On March 11, Kumho Tire announced that it received the Excellence Award in the water resource management category at the 2025 CDP Korea Awards, hosted by the CDP Korea Committee. The awards ceremony took place the previous day at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, and was attended by Executive Director Yu Jungseon and others, who accepted the award.
In this year’s assessment, Kumho Tire was selected as an outstanding company, earning an “A-” grade, which is considered a level of global leadership. The main achievements cited were the expansion of water resource data management across domestic and overseas sites, the establishment of specific water intake reduction targets, and efforts to analyze water-related risks.
Yu Jungseon, Executive Director of Future Growth Business at Kumho Tire, stated, “This award is the result of company-wide efforts for water resource management. Moving forward, we will further strengthen our water resource management and practice environmental management, striving to become a globally trusted company.”
