By constituency, Seo-gu 4, Nam-gu 1, Gwangsan 1, and Gwangsan 2 will each see five candidates competing. Dong-gu 2, Nam-gu 2, and Buk-gu 2 will have four-way contests. Seo-gu 2, Nam-gu 3, Buk-gu 1, Buk-gu 3, Buk-gu 4, and Gwangsan 3 will see three-way races, while Dong-gu 1, Buk-gu 5, and Gwangsan 4 will feature head-to-head matchups between two candidates.
For Seo-gu 3 (women’s contest) and Gwangsan 5 (women’s contest) constituencies, the party has decided to discuss additional candidate recruitment. Candidates for Seo-gu 1 and Buk-gu 6 constituencies will be finalized later due to reasons such as a review process.
For the basic councilor elections, primaries will be held in nine constituencies out of 20 across the five autonomous districts: Seo-gu Ga, Da, and Ra; Nam-gu Ga; Buk-gu Ga, Na, Ma, and Ba; and Gwangsan Da. Dong-gu Na, Seo-gu Na, and Gwangsan Ra constituencies will have nominations without primaries. For the remaining constituencies, decisions will be made after the finalization of constituency boundaries or are still under review.
The primaries for metropolitan and basic councilor candidates will be conducted through votes by eligible party members in each constituency, and the schedule for the primaries will be announced at a later date.
