Dongkuk Steel Group guarantees employees with children about to enter elementary school a minimum of 2 days and up to 5 days of leave per child so that they can accompany their children on their first day of school.
Each affiliate prepared the gifts by reflecting employees' opinions. Dongkuk Steel delivered a set of a lightweight picnic backpack and a cooler bag, along with a letter of encouragement from the CEO, to 49 employees' children who are scheduled to enter elementary school. In his letter, President Choi Samyoung wrote, "I sincerely congratulate you on entering school," and added, "I hope you stay healthy and happy as you embark on this new beginning."

The holding company Dongkuk Holdings also conveyed its congratulations by presenting sneakers, automatic pencil sharpeners, and other gifts to the employees' children concerned.
