Kim Eunkyung, chairperson of the Credit Recovery Committee, said on the 10th that, in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday on the 9th, she delivered tteokguk, miyeokguk, and other instant prepared foods for residents of the jjokbangchon near Seoul Station.
The foods donated this time by the Credit Recovery Committee will be stored in the Onki Storage, a food-market-style warehouse operated by the jjokbang counseling center, so that jjokbangchon residents can use them conveniently.
The donation of Lunar New Year foods to the jjokbang counseling center is part of the Credit Recovery Committee's social contribution activities. The committee has carried out various social contribution activities, including medical expense support for children with disabilities, kimchi-making volunteer work for facilities for people with severe disabilities, sharing warmth (such as briquettes), and emergency living expense support.
Yoo Hoyoun, head of the jjokbang counseling center, expressed his appreciation, saying, "Thank you for coming directly to the site and conveying your warm heart despite the cold weather," and added, "I believe this sharing will be more than just material support for the residents and will become great comfort and strength, showing that our society stands together."
