Hanwha Financial's "LIFEPLUS TV" Launches Season 6 of "LIFEPLUS Weekly"
Every Friday at 11:00 a.m... First theme: "Luck"
Lee Dongjin, Gwuedo, and Ahn Hyunmo to appear on MBC "Radio Star" on the 11th
Hanwha Life Insurance announced on February 6 that LIFEPLUS TV, the joint-brand YouTube channel of Hanwha Financial affiliates, will release the first episode of season 6 of its flagship original series "LIFEPLUS Weekly" at 11:00 a.m. the same day.
LIFEPLUS is a joint brand created by Hanwha Life Insurance, Hanwha General Insurance, Hanwha Investment & Securities, Hanwha Life Financial Services, and Hanwha Asset Management.
"LIFEPLUS Weekly" is a YouTube series in which film critic Lee Dongjin, science communicator Gwuedo, and former journalist-turned-broadcaster Ahn Hyunmo organize and introduce a wide range of content around a single keyword.
The theme of the episode that opens season 6 is "luck." The three hosts will share what luck means to each of them from their own perspectives and recommend related content, offering viewers a fresh viewpoint.
The format has also been refreshed this season. Lee Dongjin, Gwuedo, and Ahn Hyunmo will newly introduce a "digging episode," in which they select one recent title and take a deep dive into its context and hidden meanings.
The chemistry built up over the seasons by the trio Lee Dongjin, Gwuedo, and Ahn Hyunmo will carry over to terrestrial entertainment shows as well. The three are scheduled to appear together on MBC's "Radio Star," which will air on February 11.
Interaction with subscribers will also be further strengthened. In season 6, LIFEPLUS TV plans to increase the number of YouTube live broadcasts to create more real-time touchpoints between the cast and viewers.
"LIFEPLUS Weekly" has released 59 episodes over five seasons since its first season in July 2024, recommending a total of 629 titles. Three of its videos have surpassed 1 million cumulative views, and 19 have exceeded 500,000 views, continuing its strong performance as a content curation series.
In the previous season, the show attended the world premiere screening of the film "Avatar: The Fire and Ash" by official invitation from Disney and conducted an interview with director James Cameron. Its first live broadcast in November last year drew more than 2,000 concurrent viewers at peak, proving its buzzworthiness.
