Shinhan Bank Revamps 'SOL Global' App Exclusively for Foreign Customers
Shinhan Bank announced on December 1 that it has completely revamped its application "SOL Global," dedicated to foreign customers residing in Korea, in order to enhance non-face-to-face financial accessibility for foreign clients.
This app is a mobile banking platform exclusively for foreigners, supporting 16 languages including Korean. It provides key financial services such as account opening, currency exchange, and loans for foreign customers.
Through this update, the membership registration process for foreign customers has been streamlined from seven steps to four. The user interface and user experience have also been redesigned to be more intuitive, improving convenience for foreign users. Additional authentication methods have been introduced for core transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and major financial activities, thereby strengthening security to prevent electronic financial incidents.
