PFCT Introduces AI Agent for Voice Phishing Detection
Detection Enhanced with Proprietary AI Agent
On November 27, AI technology-based financial company PFCT announced that it has introduced an AI agent-based voice phishing screening technology.
After the existing manual review process, the AI system conducts an additional check for risk signals. Through this, the company aims to enhance risk detection capabilities during the loan review stage and strengthen its management focus on protecting financial consumers.
The AI agent was independently developed by PFCT. It learns from communication data collected during the entire loan process with customers, as well as common behavioral patterns found in actual voice phishing cases, to automatically analyze and report any abnormal signals detected during the application process.
Customer communication data includes unstructured behavioral data such as inquiry patterns, response speed, consultation flow, and intervals between document submissions.
The detected abnormal signals are quantified as risk scores and provided to the reviewers. This improves the consistency of review decisions and the speed of response to suspicious transactions.
A semi-automated update system has been established to quickly incorporate new types of fraud into the AI agent. This is important because voice phishing methods are rapidly evolving, making early detection of new types critical.
In the long term, the company plans to expand the scope of its technology beyond screening to AI-based voice phishing identification and automated review.
The verification process for potential criminal involvement during the loan execution stage has also been strengthened.
Recently, PFCT introduced a double verification process called the "Safe Block Reconfirmation Procedure," which reconfirms the customer's intent and the circumstances of the application immediately before loan execution. This is to address cases where criminal organizations force or induce victims to execute loans.
Meanwhile, the company provides past user case studies, major scenarios, and prevention checklists through its official blog channel.
