Former Democratic Officials and Donor Entrepreneurs Named

As the fallout from the case involving Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender of minors, continues to grow, President Donald Trump of the United States on November 14 (local time) ordered the Department of Justice to investigate the possible involvement of senior Democratic Party figures. Analysts say that President Trump is attempting to divert attention by countering the Democrats’ demands for the full release of the Epstein documents and their scrutiny of his own involvement.

On this day, President Trump posted on the social media platform Truth Social, stating, “Pam Bondi (Attorney General) and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, will be asked to investigate Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, JPMorgan Chase, and many other individuals and institutions who were associated with Epstein, and to find out what happened among them.”

Hoffman is the founder of LinkedIn and previously supported the Democratic Party in the last presidential election. JPMorgan Chase is a financial group led by Jamie Dimon, the so-called “king of Wall Street,” who is a supporter of the Democratic Party.

President Trump asserted, “This is yet another ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ hoax,” and claimed, “All the arrows are pointing at the Democratic Party.” He reiterated his previous assertion that the ‘Russiagate’ scandal-alleging his campaign’s collusion with Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election-was a political operation by the Democrats, emphasizing that the demands for the release of the Epstein documents are in a similar context.

After President Trump’s post, Attorney General Bondi said on X (formerly Twitter) that she had complied with the directive by asking Jay Clayton, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, to lead the investigation.

Those named on the investigation list criticized President Trump for trying to obscure the essence of the issue. Hoffman stated on X, “The request for an investigation is a blatant ploy to avoid the release of the files,” adding, “I will not bow to Trump and his slander.” Angel Urena, former Deputy Chief of Staff to President Clinton, also criticized President Trump on X, saying, “The (Epstein) emails prove that Bill Clinton did nothing and knew nothing.”
