Hallym University Center for Educational Innovation Holds 'Hi FIVE Competition for the Second Semester of the 2025 Academic Year'
The Center for Educational Innovation at Hallym University (President Choi Yanghee) held the 'Hi FIVE Competition for the Second Semester of the 2025 Academic Year' on November 4 in Room 13602 of Social Management Building 2.

View original imageThis event was organized to share and promote the enhanced major competencies, learning outcomes, and future utilization plans of students who participated in the Hi FIVE major education program during the second semester of the 2025 academic year.
A total of two teams (20 students), who advanced to the finals after passing the first round of document screening, participated in the competition. Through the judges' evaluations, both teams were ultimately selected for the Grand Prize.
The Grand Prize was awarded to the team led by Kang Jinjin from the Department of Nursing and three other members for their presentation on "Becoming a Safety Hero Project-CPR and Heimlich Emergency First Aid Education," and to the team led by Kang Seoyeon from the Department of Nursing and three other members for their presentation on "Enhancing Major Competency through the Design of a Health Education Program."
Han Seungbaek, Vice President for Academic Affairs, stated, "The Hi FIVE Competition is a meaningful opportunity for students to reflect on their major learning process and connect it with their career paths," adding, "We will continue to support a variety of programs to further promote the value of student-centered education."
Additionally, Kan Jinsuk, Director of the Center for Educational Innovation, said, "Hi FIVE is a core program that leads the qualitative growth of major education and plays a crucial role in establishing a student-driven learning culture. I hope that the practical growth cases of students showcased in this competition will spread throughout the university."

Meanwhile, the Center for Educational Innovation at Hallym University is creating a learner-centered educational environment that allows students to independently explore and deepen their major competencies through a variety of programs, including the Hi FIVE Competition, the establishment of a major competency assessment system, support for curriculum design, and the operation of a performance-based competency certification system. Moving forward, the center plans to continue fostering the organic connection between learning and career development and to build an innovative educational ecosystem for the advancement of competency-based higher education.
