The National Health Insurance Service Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (headed by Cho Joonhee) visited the Konghalmae Abandoned Dog Shelter in Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam-do on October 16. Seventeen members and employees of the regional headquarters volunteer club ‘Sim Volunteer’ participated, donating 1 million won worth of dog food and volunteering to clean, disinfect the kennels, and walk the dogs.

The initiative aims to directly support private shelters, alleviate the burden on the field, and promote a culture of ‘respect for life’ in the local community through the protection of abandoned animals.

Cho Joonhee, head of the regional headquarters, said, “We prepared this volunteer activity with the belief that protecting abandoned animals is the starting point of respecting life,” adding, “We will continue to pay attention to various issues in the local community and provide practical support where help is needed.”
