Hyundai Motor Group Earns Most Selections in Cars.com's "2026 Top Electric Vehicle Picks" in the U.S.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on September 26 that it has been selected for the second consecutive year in three categories of the "2026 Top Electric Vehicle Picks" recently released by the leading U.S. automotive review website, Cars.com.
Cars.com chose Hyundai Motor Group vehicles for the second year in a row in the categories of "Best Electric Sedan" (Ioniq 6), "Best 2-Row Electric SUV" (Ioniq 5), and "Best 3-Row Electric SUV" (Kia EV9). This means Hyundai Motor Group swept three out of the six total categories, which is seen as a testament to the company’s electric vehicle product competitiveness and electrification technology.
Regarding the selection of the Ioniq 6 as the best electric sedan, Cars.com cited its excellent efficiency of 135 MPGe (approximately 6.45 km/kWh) based on the U.S. EPA standard, a maximum driving range of 342 miles (about 550 km), an 800V ultra-fast charging system, a comfortable interior, and user-friendly features.
The Ioniq 5 has once again demonstrated its outstanding product quality by being chosen for two consecutive years as Cars.com's Best Electric Vehicle (2023, 2024), Best Family Electric Vehicle (2022, 2023), and Best 2-Row Electric SUV (2024, 2025). Cars.com noted that the Ioniq 5 offers excellent visibility, easy-to-use controls, and comfortable seats, making drivers feel at ease as soon as they sit behind the wheel.
The Kia EV9 was praised by Cars.com not only as an excellent 3-row electric SUV thanks to its ample cargo space, ease of installing child car seats, and practicality of the third row, but also as an outstanding traditional 3-row SUV.
